John A. Cannella 73, of Rochelle, passed away on Wed. Jan. 13, 2010 at his home.
He was born on Nov. 18, 1936, in Chicago, to Frank and Geraldine (Bradtke) Cannella.
John married Beverly Yeager on Dec. 15, 1984 in Las Vegas, NV. Prior to retirement after 34 years, he was an engineer for the railroad. Memberships include St. Patrick Catholic Church in
Rochelle and Hub City Senior Center. Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister: Margaret.
Survivors include his wife: Beverly of Rochelle; step daughter: Amanda (John) Popelka of Hinckley; grandchildren: Danielle Popelka, Mark Popelka, and Natalie Popelka; great grandchildren: Brian Popelka, Trista Popelka-Weekly and Chloe Popelka-Zwart.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle, on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Steven Lange officiating. Visitation at will be from 9 to 9:45 AM at the Church on Saturday.
Burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Rochelle. A memorial has been established. Arrangements by Unger-Horner Funeral Home.
