John L. Fletcher age 66, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Serenity House and Home in Oregon, IL surrounded by loved ones. John was born on February 28, 1952 to John and Marilyn (Janvick) Fletcher in Rochelle. He loved his family, sports, hunting, fishing and being by the water. He was a proud Army veteran and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

John left behind his loving wife, Andrea (Herrmann) Fletcher of Rochelle, whom he married on June 3, 1989; his ex-wife, Debra Quick Fletcher; his children: Shawn (Jamie) Vachet, Jennifer Devers Fletcher, Julie (Chad) Slack and Jamie Fletcher; 16 grandchildren: Savannah (Josh) Fletcher, Susan (Jason ) King, John, Max, Sterling, Storm, Nicholas, Payton, Ronald, Emma, Kris, Konner, Kayden, Keller, Keegan, and Kolton; three great-grandchildren: Matilda, Ayva and Elliot; sister, Virginia (Al) Terviel; four brothers: Fred (Pat) Fletcher, Al Ankney, Dusty (Anne) Ankney, and Galen (Lisa) Ankney; two brothers-in law: Duane (Phyllis) Herrmann and Richard (Sue) Herrmann; sister-in-law, Kathi (Paul) Lieving; three step sisters: Connie, Bonnie, and Becky and sister-in-law, Lois; many nieces, nephews, and cousins and special friend and honorary family member, Darlene Maki.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Sr; his mother, Marilyn, step-father, Elmer Rowley, step brother, Randy Rowley; sister-in law, Cheryl, father-in law, John Herrmann and mother-in law, Arlene Herrmann.

Please gather with us in celebration of his life at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1415 10th Ave., Rochelle, Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M., for the memorial visitation. The memorial service will follow at 11:00 with Pastor Gregory Hoffmann officiating and military honors provided by Eastern Lee-Ogle Honor Guard and the United States Army.
