John Oscar Freeman, 89 of Rochelle, passed away Feb. 17 at the Rochelle Rehabilitation Healthcare Center. He was born on August, 14, 1917 in Driftwood, Arkansas, the son of Gus and Rodney Croney Freeman. He married Irma I. Pifer on October, 26, 1940 in Black Rock Arkansas, she preceded him on Dec. 20, 2005, also preceded by his 2 brothers: Paul and Nathan Freeman, 2 sisters: Olene and Tommy Freeman

son: Ron (Jan) Freeman of Rochelle
2 daughters: Joyce Cross of Rochelle
Barbara Freeman of Rochelle
half sister: Dona Rutledge of Vancouver, Washington
5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren

There will be a funeral service 10:30 A.M. Tues. Feb. 20, 2007 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle with the Rev. Billy Robertson officiating.
Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to funeral on Tuesday.
