John E. Overstreet, 48, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in a work related accident. John was born on May 11, 1969, the son of John W. and Carolyn K. (Jones) Overstreet in Kirksville, Missouri. He was a 1987 graduate of Warren High School in Monmouth, IL. He married Catherine Lee Cline on October 17, 1992 in Oregon, IL. John was a semi driver for MBI for many years. He loved his family, food, sports and music. Preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Overstreet.

John is survived by his wife, Cathi; four children: Abbie, Marcus, Chloe and Payton Overstreet all of Davis Junction; parents, John and Carolyn Overstreet of Rochelle; two sisters: Sandra (Dan) Tynan of Bolingbrook, IL and Judy Smith of Bettendorf, IA; brother-in-law, Michael (Leatha) Cline; sister-in-law, Jill Cline Evans; two nieces: Sarah Cline and Laura (Jordan) Foote; seven nephews: David Cline, Alex, Ben, James and Connor Tynan, Zach Smith and Tony Fry; best friends: Bob (Amy) Fritsch, Wayne Warpinski, Brian Sloss and Jeffrey Casteel.

The visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M., Monday, March 26, 2018 at the Unger-Horne Funeral Home, 400 N. 6 ^th St., Rochelle. The funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 27 at the funeral home. The burial will follow the service at Ashton Cemetery in Ashton, IL.
