John D. Rasmussen, 33, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 in Rochelle, IL. John was born September 11, 1982 in Rochelle to John M. Rasmussen and Deborah (Hutcherson) Hernandez. He is preceded in death by his father, John.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Hammer-Rasmussen of Oregon; his mother, Deborah (Robert) Hernandez of Oregon; three children: Jordan Wise of the United Kingdom, John Rasmussen of West Virginia and Shyne Walker of Rochelle; brother, Anthony Berg II of Rochelle; sister, Justina (Billy) Windham of Oregon; several aunts, uncles and many cousins, as well as five nephews and one niece all of whom he loved deeply.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle, with Pastor Greg Hoffmann officiating. The visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, September 11 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorials may be made to the family.
