John D. Schuman, 45, of Rochelle, IL, passed away on Wed. April 1, 2009
at Rochelle Community Hospital. He was born on June 5, 1963, the son of
John D. and Donna (Hamman) Schuman.
John married Gloria Gonzalez on Nov. 25, 1989. He was employed by LaGrou Distribution for 16 years. John was an avid outdoors man, and loved fishing and camping, alone or with his family. He was a jack-of-all trades and was always ready for a good game of cards. He'll be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife: Gloria of Rochelle; stepson: Rudy (Kim) Ayala of Aurora, IL; 3 stepdaughters: Angelica Guzman of Wheeling, IL, Blanca (Pablo) Silva of Rochelle and Manuela (Javier) Andujar of St Charles, IL; Brothers: Jeff (Teri) Schuman of Warrenvile, IL, Justin Schuman of Bollingbrook IL; 3 sisters: Debbie (Alan) Schumaker of Belvidere, IL, Kathy (Patrick) Spillane of DeKalb, IL and Cara Schuman of Bollingbrook, IL; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, 2 nieces and 3 nephews. John is also survived by his mother: Donna Ulrich of Belvidere, and father John (Wendy) Schuman of Bollingbrook, IL; and grandmother: Mary Ann Hamman of Aurora, IL.

Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Monday, April 6, 2009
at 10:30 AM with Father David Peck. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 on Monday at Unger-Horner. Cremation rites will follow services. Memorials to be established.
