Jon Michael Renner, 58, of Rochelle, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at his home in Rochelle.  Jon was born in Galesburg, IL, Dec. 26, 1962 the son of Rex and Patricia (Graham) Renner.

Jon worked at the Focus House as a counselor before his graduation from NIU with a B.S. in education, special education. He taught at Rochelle Middle School for one year prior to his accepting a field representative position with IMRF, where he worked for 25 years, until his recent retirement. Jon often talked about how much he enjoyed coaching girls softball. He loved to hunt and spent many days at his second home overlooking the Mississippi River in Bellevue, IA.

Jon is survived by his parents, Rex and Pat Renner of Rochelle; daughter, Taylor Renner of Rochelle; brother, Mark (Kristal) Renner of Columbus, GA; nieces, Caroline Grace and Addison Mae Renner.

Public memorial visitation will be 4-7 PM Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle, IL.  Private grave side services will be held at Lawnridge Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jon's memory may be made to the Rochelle Wildlife Conservation Club.  Visit www.ungerhorner.com to sign the online guest book.
