Jose F. Virto, 82, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. He was born August 17, 1936 in Mexico.

Jose was well known and liked throughout the Rochelle area. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather.

Jose is survived by four children, Frankie Virto, Miguel Virto, Yolanda Virto, and Reyna Virto, all of Rochelle; and four grandchildren, Mirella Cevada, Charlie Macias, Addison Virto, and Everett Virto.

A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 5, 2019, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 236 Kelley Dr. in Rochelle with Father Ruben Herrera officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorials may be directed to the family.
