Joseph K. Galloway,72, of Rochelle, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at
Rochelle Community Hospital. He was born on Sept. 24, 1939 in West Plains, MO
the son of James C. and Sue (Lane) Galloway. Joe married Sharyn R. Withrow on
Sept. 30, 1961 in Rochelle. IL. Prior to retiring, Joe was employed by GE in DeKalb, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brothers: Alan and Robert and brother: Jay Galloway.

Joe had many hobbies, which included photography and his ever present video camera,
as well as camping, fishing, and loved old movies, especially western, science fiction and war movies He and Sharyn loved to travel especially to Ireland and also spending their winters in Brownsville, TX . Joe loved his sons and grandson: Liam; as well as his dogs, especially his favorite outdoor companion: "Jason". He was always smiling and will be greatly missed .

Survivors include his wife: Sharyn of Rochelle; sons: Michael Galloway of Hayward, WI
and James (Karen) Galloway of IL; grandson: Liam Galloway of Grayslake, IL and brother:
David Galloway of Greenville, MO.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle with Rev. Doug Cowan. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 AM prior to service at Unger-Horner. Memorials to Rochelle Community Hospital. Cremation rites will follow with
inurnment at Trinity Memory Gardens.
