Joseph G. Hall, 81, of Rochelle, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009 at the Rochelle Gardens after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on Aug. 18, 1928 in Sublette, IL to George A. and Amelia E. (Smith) Hall.
Joe married Ida Henrietta Howe on July 27, 1951 in Franklin Grove, IL. He was a member of
the Franklin Grove Presbyterian Church and was previously employed by the Americana Nursing Home.

Survivors include his wife Ida of Rochelle; 2 sons: Ronald (Rebecca) Hall of Stillman Valley, and Donald Hall of Rochelle; daughter: Amelia "Amy" (Jeffery) Stein of Rochelle;
3 grandchildren: Tina Higdon, Amber Lesher and Tamara Taylor
7 great grandchildren: Alexis Cook, Brady and Caily Higdon, Jarrett and Ashton Lesher, Nelson Taylor and Zackery Taylor-Hoefer.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 9, 2009 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle with Rev. Colleen Lawrence of the Franklin Grove Presbyterian Church officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7 PM on Thursday at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home.
