ROCHELLE. Joseph Paul Kaisher, 73, of Rochelle, passed away Thursday March 24, 2011 at the Rochelle Community Hospital. Joe was born April 1, 1937 in DeKalb, IL the son of Paul and Josephine (Ridulph) Kaisher. He graduated from DeKalb High School in 1955. On May 25, 1973 he married Linda Lee Saarela in Las Vegas, NV. Joe was a member of the U.S. Army having served in Korea during peace time. He was a purchasing Manager for Caron International for 10 years, and director of purchasing at Richard Wilcox Steel. In later years, he worked at Do It Best Hardware in Rochelle. Joe enjoyed golfing and loved to travel. He was an avid Bears, White Sox and NIU Huskies fan. In his leisure time he also enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles. He was Preceded in death by his sister: Margie Evans.
Survivors include his wife: Linda; 2 sons: Raymond (Chris) Kaisher of Columbia, MO and Joseph Kaisher of Rochelle, IL; 1 daughter: Josephine (John Coffey) Nash of Sugar Grove; 1 sister: Georgeann (Bill) Rossmiller of Peoria, AZ; 4 Grandchildren Jennifer (Adam) Wunch, Robert Kaisher, Cory and Patrick Nash.
Family Funeral service will be held at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Monday, March 28, 2011. Family request memorials to American Lung Association and American Cancer Society.
