Obituary
Joseph E. Pantoga "Pops", 77, died on Thursday, April 4, 2013. He was born July 22, 1935 in Chicago, IL, the son of Rebecca Hernandez.
Pops is survived by two sons: Chris Pantoga of Rochelle, IL and Jack Wade also of Rochelle, IL; daughter, Laurie (Mike) Matthys of Crown Point, IN; sister, Barbara (Leonard) Hoyda; two brothers: Robert (Ann) Pantoga and Raul Pantoga; four grandchildren: Joseph and Anthony Calabria, Cole and Bret Matthys; two nieces: Diane Avina (Stevie) and Debra (Edward) Trevino and nephew, Ronald (Karen) Avina.
Pops retired from Inland Steel in East Chicago, Indiana. He loved to golf. The Chicago Bears have lost their biggest fan but now he has the best seat at Soldier Field.
The visitation will be Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home. Memorials to the American Cancer Society. On line guest book at www.ungerhorner.com
