Joseph Leo Reising Sr., age 75, died on Monday, August 27, 2007 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on October 22, 1931 in Metamora, IL, the son of Leo F. and Elsie Villiger Reising. He married Lenilda "Lea" Beltramea on February 2, 1952 in Washburn, IL. Joe founded the Rochelle Insurance Agency. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his brother: Carl and 2 sisters: Lela Reising and Eunice Stenger.

12 grandchildren: Tara (Joe) Guidi, Jessica (Anthony) Zielinski, Laura Youngren, Jeremy (Krista) Reising, Elisa (Tim) Green, Joe Reising III, Ben, Amanda, David, Lauren, and Anna Reising, and Caitlyn Southard.
4 great grandchildren: Justisse, Joah, and Kennadi Reising, and Angelina Rose Guidi
many nieces, nephews and special friends.

Funeral mass will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rochelle with Rev David A. Peck officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 PM on Wednesday at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials to the Ogle County Hospice, St. Patrick Catholic Church, or the Rochelle Area Community Foundation.

Burial at St. Patrick Cemetery, with military honors provided by the V.F.W. Post 3878.
