MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday 4:00 P.M.

Joseph L. Sims, 54, of Rochelle, IL, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 at his home
in Rochelle. He was born on Nov. 8, 1957 in Rochelle, to John D. and Pearl (Thompson)
Sims. Joe graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 1976. On Sept. 2, 1977,
he married Cindy M. Isley in Rochelle. For 21 years, he was employed by DelMonte
Corp. in Quality Control. He then was a truck driver for 10 years. Joe was preceded in death by his mother: Pearl.

Survivors include his wife: Cindy of Rochelle; sons: Jason Sims
and Joseph Sims Jr. both of Rochelle; daughter: Terry (Douglas) Mitchell of Rochelle; father: John of Cadet, MO; brother: John (Cherlye) Sims of Toledo, OH; sisters: LuAnn (Jim) Jennings of Rockford, Joy Wiltzous of DeKalb, Shirley Volkert of Pillsborro, MO and Liz Bennette of Cadet, MO.

A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Cindy Marino officiating. Visitation will be at Unger-Horner on Friday from 3 - 3:45 PM prior to memorial service.
Inurnment will be at Lawnridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family.
