Loving mother, Joyce A. Skoglund DeGryse Widmark, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Evanston Hospital Hospice Care at 71 years of age. She attended Rochelle High School and National Louis College of Education. She resided in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Joyce was born April 3, 1942 in Webster City, Iowa to Leonard and Helen (Kintz) Skogland. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Doug Skoglund and her grandson, Michael P. Lyon.
She is survived by her former husbands: CW (Bill) DeGryse and Richard Widmark; son, Billy DeGryse of Fontana, WI, daughters: Anne Lyon-Johnston of Wilmette, IL and Carey DeGryse of Lombard, IL; sister, Sharon (Clyde) Jones and five grandchildren: Kevin Lyon, Morgan Lyon, Tatum Johnston, Quinn Johnston and Hannah Degryse.
A celebration of Joyce's life is being held at St. Patrick's Church, 244 Kelley Drive Rochelle, IL 61068, on Thursday, September 19th, 2013. The visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with a mass following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
