Joyce Williams, 86 of Lindenwood, passed away Sept. 23, 2009 in Albert Lea, MN. She was born Sept. 23, 1923 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Lewis E. and Jean (Blair) Whitman. Married John D. "Jack" Williams on January 20, 1944 in Monroe Center, IL. She graduated from Monroe Center High School and Rockford Business School. Joyce, along with her family, farmed in the Lindenwood area for 55 yrs and retired in 20 years ago. Joyce then lived at the Assisted Living Oak Park Place 3 1/2 yrs. She enjoyed being the Organist at Lindenwood Union Church for 40 years, she was also a private piano instructor for 20 years, and a member of the Lindenwood Union Church Ladies Aid Society. Joyce's additional career milestones included Victor & Hennelly Law Office Rockford 10 years, and H. D. Campbell Company Rochelle 30 years.

She was Preceded by her parents and husband John D. "Jack" Williams, Jan. 29, 2006.

Funeral Services will be Mon. Sept. 28, 2009 10:00 A.M at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle IL with a visitation Sunday from 2:00-5:00 P.M at the Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been established.
