Juan Jesus Arredondo, 66, of Rochelle, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Juan was born August 27, 1953 in Mexico, the son of Elena Blancarte.

Juan owned and operated Elegant Seat Upholstery Shop in Rochelle for over twenty-five years. He also worked at Caterpillar, Caron International, and various railroad and construction jobs. He loved to help people and was a family oriented man. He was always there for his children and grandchildren.

Juan is survived by his wife, Celia Arredondo; three sons, Rafael (Meredith) Mancinas, "Johnny" Juan Jesus (Danielle) Arredondo Jr., and Gerardo (Adriana) Arredondo; twelve grandchildren, Amy L. Mancinas, Rafael Mancinas Jr., Luis G. Mancinas, Noah A. Mancinas, "J.J" Juan Jesus Arredondo III, Roman B. Arredondo, León M. Arredondo, Josue Arredondo, Abel Arredondo, Naomi N. Arredondo, Genesis L. Arredondo, and Ellena S. Arredondo; two great-grandchildren, Lucas Wayne Mancinas and Dylan Mancinas; and four siblings, Arturo Blancarte, Amada Blancarte, Julia Blancarte, and Lupe Blancarte.

Juan is preceded in death by his mother, Elena Blancarte.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. in Rochelle. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Cremation care will be provided after the services and burial will be held at a later date.
