Juanita F. Ewald 81 of Rochelle, died Friday Jan. 31, 2014 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 20, 1932 in Willisburg, KY, the daughter of William H. and Ora L. (Perkins) Long. Juanita married Virgil C. Ewald on Sept. 21, 1957 in DeKalb, IL. Preceded by three sisters: Evelyn Bugg, Vi Johnson and Jean Curtsinger and a brother Ralph Long.
She was a member of the Ashton Methodist Church for many years.
Survived by her husband Virgil, daughter Pamela (Jonathan) Dahm of Oregon, IL and son Eric (Drusilla Pollick) Ewald of Dixon, IL and six grandchildren: Adam Dahm, Laura (Trevor) Kittleson, Aimee Dahm, Stacey Ewald, Abbey (Joe) Kelly and Brent Ewald. Sister: Louise Byasse of Phoenix, AZ. One brother William "Don"(Cookie) Long of DeKalb, IL.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday Feb. 5th at the Ashton United Methodist Church in Ashton, IL, with visitation Tuesday from 4 to 7 at Unger-Horner Funeral 400 N. 6th Street Rochelle, IL. There will also be a visitation on Wednesday at the church form 10 to 10:45. Burial will be at Ashton Cemetery. The family prefers Memorials to the Ashton United Methodist Church.
