Judith "Judy" Ann Carter, age 72, passed away peacefully at her home with her daughter, Cyndi, and granddaughter, Samantha, at her side on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. She was born on January 21, 1943 in Rochelle, IL, the daughter of Minferd Lyndon and Dorothy Mae (Lambert) Peterson. Judy worked at Eaton's and Pizza Hut in Rochelle prior to retiring. She is a member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Rochelle. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marlene Cahoon.

Survivors include her five children: Edye (Garrick) Pullums of St. Petersburg, FL, Wayne "Travis" Carter of Birmingham, AL, Cynthia "Cyndi" Carter of Rochelle, Jason (Trisha) Carter of Ashton, and Brian (Tammy) Carter of Amherst, NY; brother, Jim (Paula) Peterson of Schererville, IN; 10 grandchildren: Kalianne McIntire, Seana McIntire, Chris Carter, Nick Carter, Tyler Morse, Joey Carter, Jacob Carter, Samantha Carter, Jessie Carter, Maggie Carter and Noah Carter; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church, 14206 E. Flagg Rd, Rochelle with Pastor Joy Alsop officiating.
