Judith Lynn Palian, of Rochelle and formerly of Naperville, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, with her family at her side, just one month shy of her 86th birthday. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Herbert and Georgena (Boehm) Brinck. On January 4, 1964, she married Joseph Paul Palian in Cincinnati; he preceded her in death in 2015. Prior to retiring, she worked as a secretary in the automotive industry in addition to working for numerous home builders.

Judy loved spending time with her family, and her kids and grandchildren knew she was their fiercest advocate.  She was a huge college football fan and enjoyed painting art, gardening, music and traveling. If Judy wasn't cleaning, she was doing paperwork.  She took great pride in keeping a clean home while also organizing all her sentimental items and keepsakes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters and spouses: Mary (Bernard) Gott, and Virginia (Elmer) Schmidt. She is survived by her three children:  Paul Palian of Des Plaines, IL, Suzanna (David) Gerber of Chana, IL and Joseph (Tracy) Palian of Aurora, Ohio; seven grandchildren: Kylie Palian, Cole Palian, Brooke Palian, Taylor Palian, Forrest Gerber, David Gerber and Van Gerber; two sisters: Adele (Franklin) Robeson and Chris (William) Brafford, both of Williamsburg, VA; sister-in-law, Mary Craver of Pittsburgh, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation rites have been accorded by the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, Rochelle. A visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2025 followed by a memorial mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church,1500 Brookdale Road in Naperville.
