Judy K. Simmons Genz, 43, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 in Rockford, IL. Judy was born March 26, 1971 to Richard A. Simmons and Kay L. Forister in Rochelle, IL. Judy was a hair stylist.

She is survived by her parents: Kay Rosenbalm of DeKalb, IL and Richard Simmons of Mt. Carol, IL; her husband, Shawn Genz, two sons: Blaze Simmons and Storm Bresson both of Ashton, IL; daughter, Amber Bresson of Ashton, IL, two brothers: John (Michelle) Simmons of Washington D.C. and Richie Simmons of Tampa, FL; her aunt, Felisa Dobson, of West Brooklyn, IL and a granddaughter, Leanna Terry.

The funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with Pastor John Dirksb of Harvest Bible Chapel in Rockford. The visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, August 22, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. A memorial has been established to the family.
