Obituary

Katharina Himmelsbach, 88 of Lindenwood, IL, passed away on Dec. 31, 2011 at her home.
She was born on Oct. 5, 1923 in Semlin, Yugoslavia to Adam and Katharina (Merkl) Weber.
On March 6, 1948 in Salzburg, Austria, Katharina married Matthias Himmelsbach. In 1951,
they came to the United States and lived in Mendota, IL,in 1963 ,the moved to Aurora and later moved to Lindenwood. Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers: Johann Weber and an infant brother. Katharina was a seamstress and made women's coats. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and Rochelle Senior Center. She loved to work in her flower gardens and took great pride in her roses and she loved music and dancing.

Survivors include her husband Matthias of Lindenwood; son: Wally of Lindenwood; daughters:
Hilde (William) Lay of Aurora, IL and Rosemary (Charles) Heinemeier of Montgomery, IL;
grandchildren: Angelica (Mike) Calumet, William Lay, David Lay, Jeffrey (Angie) Lay, Daniel Lay and Matthew Heinemeier and 5 great grandchildren and one on the way.

Services will be at St. Patrick Church at 10:30 AM on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012. Visitation
will be from 9:30 to 10:30 on Thursday prior to the service at the church. Inurnment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Aurora, IL at a later date. In lieu of flowers: Memorials to OSF Hospice.
