Kathleen ("Kitty") Marie Donnelly, 93, formerly of Rochelle, passed into the presence of her Savior on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008 at Franklin Grove Nursing Center, Franklin Grove, IL.
She was born in Wrightstown, Burlington County, New Jersey on September 16, 1914, the daughter of Leon Abbot and Helen Edna (Emmons) Davis.

She was employed as a License Clerk / Typist for 25 years, New Jersey Department of Motor Vehicles (NJDMV), Burlington, N.J. She retired in the mid '70's and Grocery Checkout Clerk, Food Center, Burlington, N.J. 19 48 – 1950.


Kitty was a "The Merry Misses" 4 – H Leader for Stevens School, Stevens Station, New Jersey in the mid 1940's. During that period Kitty with her husband "Mike", who at that time was the leader of the "Knights of the Round Table" Y.M.C.A. group, and Gladys Leigh put on a minstrel show in the Stevens School auditorium which featured all of the "Misses" and the "Knights" and was a WWII
"Plane Spotter", and a Nursing Home Volunteer: Masonic Home, Burlington, New Jersey. She earned 2000 Hours of Volunteer Recognition, after retiring from NJDMV.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Husband: Malcolm Wise "Mike" Donnelly (deceased - 1975)

She graduated from Elementary: Mount Holly Elementary School, in 1928.
High School: Mount Holly High School, Graduated 1932. She was secretary of her Senior class and a typist for the "MHHS Senior Memories" year book.

"Kitty" married "Mike" Donnelly in March of 1934 at the Bustleton Presbyterian Church and resided in Burlington County, N.J. all of her life until 1993 when she moved to Rochelle, Illinois to be near her family. In 2000 she moved to Franklin Grove Nursing Center, Franklin Grove, Illinois due to poor health and remained there until her death.

She was a member of the Bustleton Presbyterian Church, Bustleton, New Jersey for approximately 25 years. She then enjoyed fellowship with Grace and Truth Bible Chapel, Neck Road, Burlington, N.J. for the next 20 years. After moving to Illinois, she attended Elim Reformed Church, Kings, Illinois before moving into the nursing home.

The viewing and funeral will be held at Dennison Funeral Home, Florence, N.J. and interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington, N.J. Viewing will be on Thursday, Aug. 28th from 7 to 9 PM. Funeral
services will be on Friday, Aug. 29, 2008 at 11:00AM .
