Kay Lynn Rosenbalm, 61, passed away Monday, August 03, 2015 in Rockford, IL. Kay was born September 3, 1953 to Virgil M. Forister and Louise Rose Mcllvoy in Rochelle, IL. Kay worked as a postal service clerk in Rochelle, IL and records management assistant in DeKalb, IL. Kay's family and friends were her life and she enjoyed spending time with all of her children - old and young alike.
She is survived by her sister, Felisa Dobson, of West Brooklyn, IL; her son: John Simmons of Fairfax VA, four grandchildren: Blaze Simmons and Storm Bresson both of Ashton, IL; Alexander Simmons from Fairfax VA; granddaughter, Amber Bresson of Rochelle, IL, and two great-grandchildren: Leighenna Terry and Moses Terry of Rochelle, IL.
The funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with Pastor Angelo Bonacquisti of First General Baptist Church of Rochelle, IL officiating. The visitation will be 2:00 to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, August 09, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
