Keith Robert Deal, age 58, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 24, 2010 at the Rochelle Community Hospital. He was born on June 26, 1952 in Amarillo, TX, the son of Keith A. and Pearl A. Gullikson Deal. Keith graduated from the University of South Dakota. He was the Director of the University Plaza, DeKalb, IL and was on the board of the Egyptian Theater. He was preceded in death by his father, Keith, step father, Martin Brecht, paternal grandparents, Lester and Erma Johnson, maternal grandparents, Raymond and Muriel Gullikson, his two uncles, Gary Deal and Gordon Gullikson, and an aunt, Carol "Sissie" St. Pierre.

Survived by his mother, Pearl Brecht of Walkerton, IN;
his life partner, Todd Mikesell of Rochelle;
2 sisters: Rhonda (Steve) Paschen of Walkerton, IN; and
Brenda (Tim) Pontius of Crystal Lake, IL
and several nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly: Misty, Mandy, Joel, Grace, Anna, Marvin, Johnathan, Austin, Wendy, Angel, Heather, Keisha, Autumn, and Trayton; and great nephew, Evan.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Rochelle United Methodist Church, with Rev. Brett Todd officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 - 8 pm at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle.
