Kenneth V. Johnson, 87, of Lee, IL; passed away on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 at Kishwaukee
Community Hospital in DeKalb with his family at his side. He was born on June 26, 1925 to Victor and Amanda (Nelson) Johnson. Ken married Leona Marie Leipold on Sept. 14, 1946 in Batavia, IL. Prior to retiring, he was a farmer. Preceding him in death were his parents; 2 brothers: Wendell and Melvin; son-in-law: Jeff Kissack and great granddaughter: Madison Bell Johnson. Ken was a member of the Rochelle Masonic Lodge 244, and Paw Paw Lions and served on the boards of Rochelle Township High School, and Shabbona Fire Department and a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Council.

Survivors include his wife: Leona "Nonie" of Lee, IL; Sons: David (Cheryl) Johnson of Lee, IL and Bruce (Bobbie) Johnson of Rochelle; daughters: Cindy (Lyle) Headon of Creston, IL, Wendy Kissack of Rochelle and Eileen (James) Spears of Lee, IL; grandchildren: Debbie (Eric) DaCosta, Lance (Cass) Headon, Steve (Lisa) Headon, Jodi (Neil) Suddeth and Jeff (Stacy) Johnson; Josh (Bridgid) Johnson and Jared Johnson; Kyle (Jennifer) Kissack, Kelly (Mitch) Buh, and Nicholas (Courtney) Spears and Dustin (Sarah) Spears; 26 great grandchildren;
special sisters-in-law: Dena Johnson of Malta, IL and Joanne Johnson of Washington State; and brother-in-law: William Everhart of Geneva, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church in Lee, IL on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 31th from 9 to 10:45 AM prior to the services at the
church. Burial at Union Cemetery in Steward. Memorials to Pegasus and the family. Cremation rites were arranged by Unger-Horner Funeral Home.
