Kenneth L. Olson
(December 28, 1939 – March 8, 2015)

Kenneth Olson, 75, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born December 28, 1939, in Elgin, IL.

Preceded in death by his wife, Fern Coats, step-daughter, Donna Kinser Sidebottom and his parents, Ole and Dorothy Olson.

He was a member of the Rochelle Moose Lodge in Rochelle, IL. He enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing, horses, his dogs and his neighbors in Columbia, TN. He was a huge Nascar (Tony Stewart) and John Wayne fan.

Survived by his three daughters: Tammy (Bubba) Cummings of Jackson, TN, Sandi Olson of Rockvale, TN and Carla (Chuck) Marr of Madison, TN; four step-daughters: Linda (Chic) Whitener of Rochelle, Diana (Norman) Wallace of Troy, MI, Robin Kinser (Lori Rethwill) of Rochelle and Renee Sidebottom of Forreston, IL; a brother Howard (Carla) Olson, and 2 sisters: Karen (Dave) Swanson and Lynn (John) Farris; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 28, 2015 at First Presbyterian in Rochelle with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m at the church prior to the service. Burial of cremations will be in Lawnridge Cemetery at a later time. A memorial luncheon will be held at Rochelle Moose Lodge immediately following the service.
