Rochelle

Kevin Lee Hummel, 69, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026 at his home in Rochelle, Illinois with his family by his side. Kevin was born on March 21, 1956, the son of Karol and Shirley (Ketfdever) Hummel in Huntington Beach, CA. He proudly served with the United States Army. On September 17, 1996, he married Sharon Kay Hayden in Oregon, IL.

Kevin thoroughly enjoyed fishing and watching “his team”, the Philadelphia Eagles. He worked as a forklift driver for many years at Delmonte. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robby Hummel.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Sharon of Rochelle; three daughters: Amber Hummel, Sarah Hummel and Susan Ibarra; his sister, Dawn Holmes, two brothers: Karol “Buzzy” (Maria) Hummel and Gary Hummel; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Milo.
