Kevin Lee Klotz, "Bruno" age 69 of Rochelle, IL passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 with his wife nearby. He was born on January 11, 1956, in Sandwich, IL, the son of Kenneth and Juanita (Johnson) Klotz.  Kevin married Esther Lucille Johnson on November 14, 1998 in Tipton, IA.  Kevin grew up on a farm near Leland, IL. His family moved to Genoa, IL where Kevin attended Genoa/Kingston High School. There he met friends Steve and Dave. After high school the three friends rode their bicycles from Genoa, Il to California. As a young man, Kevin worked for the Standard Gas Station in Genoa. Later he became an iron worker apprentice and was part of the crew working on the Byron Nuclear Plant. He also worked  for the City of Belvidere. For several years he worked as a cement finisher. He then returned to his love of farming, working for farmers in the Malta area until he retired.  Kevin was a talented leather fabricator, making many leather cross keychains and religious magnets. Generously handing out his creations. He also enjoyed writing around 180  Christian poems.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers: Rodney and Terry Klotz.

Survived by his wife, Esther Klotz of Rochelle, 2 brothers: Sid (Sue) Klotz of Converse, TX, and Roger (Shirley) Klotz of Rockford; sister, Kristine (Dave Eng) McDonald of Floresville, TX; 2 sister-in-laws: Stormy Klotz of Kirkland, IL and Mary Henderson of Sugar Grove, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle.  Funeral Service will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Randy Kruse Officiating.
Graveside burial service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the Red Oak Grove Cemetery in Tipton, IA. A memorial has been established.  Guest book at www.UngerHorner.com
