Kevin Sanderson, passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on August 4, 2023 at his home in Creston, IL.

He was born in Rochelle, IL on June 17, 1949. His childhood in Creston, IL instilled a lifelong passion for agriculture and fishing, and he loved to speak about it with anyone who would listen. He was an alumnus of the University of Illinois and was passionate about U of I basketball.

He leaves behind his beloved spouse; Debbie Sanderson, his children: Jessica (Jeff) Mahaffey, Jodi Sanderson, and Jamie Sanderson. He also leaves behind his mother Margaret, siblings Gary (Linda), Paul (Cheryl), Iona (David), as well as five grandchildren (Corday, Jaelyn, Isaiah, Kiayah, and Taya) and many grand dogs. He was proceeded in death by his father Sanford Sanderson, and two sons Eric Sanderson and Micah Mahaffey.

Visitation will be Tuesday Aug. 8th, from 4-7 PM at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle.  Funeral will be Wed. August 9th, at 10:00 AM with Pastor David Rogula officiating.  Memorial to be established.  Online guest book at www.ungerhorner.com
