Lance Matthew New, 62, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Illinois. Lance was born on September 3, 1959 to Vernon T. and Barbara (Boutain) New in Rochelle, IL.

Lance worked for many years at Walmart. He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan, loved his basset hounds and was a prolific collector of coffee mugs and beanie babies.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara New of Hope, AR; sister, Gwen New of Rochelle; brother, Corey New of Los Alamos, NM; three nieces: Holly (Robert) Bowers of Beloit, WI, and Tessa and Lily New of Los Alamos, NM. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon.
