Larry D. Reineck, 72, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, IL. Larry was born May 25, 1943 in Branson, MO. Before he moved to Rochelle, he lived in Ava, Missouri with his grandmother, Orpha Frye. He married Ramona Jasso on October 8, 1960 in New Milford, IL. He worked for the City of Rochelle for 30 years.
Larry was an avid hunter, gun enthusiast and a die hard Packer fan. One of his most cherished friends was his black lab, Emma.

Larry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mona; four daughters: Pam (Tim) Davis, Tina (Jeff) Davis, Lisa (Paul) Vargen and Mary (David) Helfrich all of Rochelle; mother, Hester Reineck of Rochelle; two brothers: Steven (Julie) Reineck and Craig (Jane) Reineck both of Rochelle; nine grandchildren: Erica (Frank) Schermerhorn of DeKalb, Jake (Kirstin) Davis of Warrenville, IL, Samantha (Jerry Becker) Davis of Wisconsin and Amanda Davis of Rochelle, Katie (Wade) Arthur of Hoffman Estates, IL, Alex (Veronika Erickson) Bunger of Rochelle, Blake Vargen of Rockford, Alyssa (Sam) Navejas of Rochelle and Cruz Hord of Rochelle; 12 great grandchildren: Madi, Andre and Olivia Schermerhorn, Wyatt and Jack Davis, Sophia Davis, Sammy, Benny, Jeremiah and Christian Navejas, Xander Gaffino-Hord, Kyree Capes plus a baby Bunger on the way and many nieces and nephews; special friends: Lisa Gaffino and the Waddell family.

The funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with Pastor Kevin Spears officiating. The visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00, Sunday, November 8, 2015. Burial will follow the service at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle. Memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice and Home.
