LaVaun "Bonnie" E. Furjanic, 84, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family Thursday, June 26, 2014. Bonnie was born September 3, 1929 to Vernon and Evelyn (Kerr) Beatty in Chicago, Illinois. She married Leland Morrison on July 23, 1949 and he passed away on August 21, 1965. She then married Robert Furjanic on March 7, 1975 in Rochelle. She worked for Swift and Company for many years. Bonnie and Bob spent many years traveling to many different countries. She was also an avid gardener and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Robert, two sons: Stephen (Patricia) Morrison of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Robert (Sheila) Furjanic of Croton on Hudson, NY; three daughters: Lisa (Jonathan) Dreyer of Antioch, IL, Nicolette (Tony) Merridy of Queens, NY and Melinda (John) Condon of Floral City, FL; 7 grandchildren: Aaron (Cassi) Dreyer, Sara Dreyer, John Condon, Nicholas Morrison, Cameron Morrison, Cheryl Furjanic and Michael Furjanic.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with her nephew, Matthew Furjanic, officiating. The visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 just prior to the service. Cremation rites to follow service. Memorials may be made to the Rochelle Fire Department Ambulance Fund.
