LaVelle A. Holley, age 85, died on Sept 1, 2010 at the Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. He was born on February 20, 1925 in Duke, OK the son of N.G. and Battie Ola Holley(nee Parrish). He married Rosemary K. Kersten on December 26, 1953 in Ashton, IL. LaVelle served in the Navy during WW II. He was a vocational agriculture teacher at Ashton High School and later became a veterinarian after graduating from Oklahoma State University. He owned Misener-Holley Animal Hospital in Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister.

2 sons, Kenneth (Donna) Holley of Prospect Heights, IL
Douglas (Amy) Holley of Cedarburg, WI.
Sister-in-law Kayla (Ray) Rippy of Rochelle, IL,
five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010 at the Reynolds United Methodist Church, Ashton with the Rev. Alan Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 1 - 2:00 PM on Saturday prior to funeral at the church. Kindly omit flowers.
Burial at the Ashton Cemetery. Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle is assisting the family with their arrangements.
