Lavergne M. (Olson) Sikac , age 86, of Rochelle, formerly of Chicago, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Rochelle Community Hospital. She was born on December 8, 1921 in Chicago, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Brandup) Olson. On Oct. 26, 1965, she married Elmer Sikac. Lavergne was preceded by her parents and beloved husband; a sister and brother-in-law: Alice and Lawrence Glines and brother and sister-in-law: Richard and Dorothy Olson. She was employed most of her adult life by Tele Type Corporation prior to retiring.

Survivors include2 son: Richard E. (Phyllis) Ciganek of Fox River Grove, IL and Ronald A. (Patricia) Ciganek of Rochelle, IL; 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle, IL, on Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 4 to 7 PM. Cremation rites were arranged by Unger-Horner. A memorial has been established to American Cancer Society.
