Lavona L. Schabacker, 90, of Rochelle, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 at Rochelle Gardens. She was born on Feb. 1, 1920 in Hayward, MN to George J. And Anna S. (Paulsen)
Schabacker. She came to IL as a baby and was raised in the rural area of Rochelle. She was a life long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and worked 42 years at Caron Spinning Co and Morgan Dye and retired in 1964. Lavona was preceded by her parents and a brother: Donald L. Schabacker on April 16, 2007.

Survivors include a sister: Betty (Virgil) Cole of Mountain Home, AR; sister-in-law: Frances Schabacker of Rochelle; and 7 nieces and nephews: Gae Schabacker, Becky Duncan, Don and
Nancy Schabacker, Andrew Schabacker, Joanne and Bobby Andrews, June and Byron Sloan and Jill Huff; and 2 great grand nieces.

Services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Greg Hoffmann. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the services from 9:30 lto l0:15 AM. Memorials to Ogle County Hospice or to St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial at Lawnridge. Cemetery in Rochelle.
