LAWRENCE "BUD" FORSTER, age 77 of Marion, Ohio died Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Marion Manor Nursing Home. He was born Lawrence Lee Forster on July 15,1930 near Sycamore, Illinois to the late Benjamin and Anna (Sullivan) Forster. On April 28,1951, Bud married Jaclee Sutton in Rochelle, Illinois. He graduated from Ashton High School, Ashton, IL in 1948. He attended both Northern Illinois University and Ohio State University.

He farmed with his father before working for DeKalb AgResearch in l960 in Marion,
Ohio. In 1965 he was transferred to Illiopolis, IL, as the Farm Division Manager
from where he retired in 1983. He returned to Marion, Ohio and was employed for
several years at Smith Clinic as the evening maintenance supervisor. He retired in 1997.
Bud was an avid hobbyist, collector, traveler and history buff. He was a devoted Chicago
Cubs, Bulls, and Bears fan.

Surviving are his wife: Jaclee, and their four children: William "Bill" (Marge) Forster,
Marion, OH; Joseph "Joe" Forster, Marion, OH; Mary (Bob) Schoenthaler, Hinsdale,
IL; and Connie Long, Chaska, MN; five grandchildren: Bob and Anne Forster, Rob and
Madeleine Schoenthaler, and Melissa Long. Also surviving are two brothers, Steve of
Marion, OH and Jim of Dixon, IL, sister-in-law Jan (Jack) Forster of Cherry Valley, IL,
and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Bill and Jack.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday Jan. 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick cemetery in Rochelle, IL.
