Lawrence "Larry" L. Raymond, 72, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Oregon, IL. Larry was born July 20, 1944 to Louis E. and Marguerite T. (Peppard) Raymond in Waverly, NY. Larry married Susan Ann Triplett on June 21, 1969 in Graceville, Minnesota. He was a Nurse Anesthetist for 37 years working in Sandwich, IL, Rochelle, IL, and Silvis, IL. He served in the United States Army for eight years earning the rank of Captain with one year of service in Viet Nam. He was an active member of Golden K and the Rochelle United Methodist Church. In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing at the Rochelle Conservation Club and was a lifelong ham radio operator.
Larry is survived by his wife, Susan, two daughters: Darcie (Mark) Miller of Birmingham, AL and Dena Raymond of Oak Ridge, TN; brother, Donald (Linda) Raymond of Douglas, GA and two grandchildren: Skylar and Samantha Tillis.
There will be no services held. Cremation rites are accorded by the Unger-Horner Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in Larry's memory to the Rochelle United Methodist Church. Visit www.ungerhorner.com to sign the online guest book.
