Larry "Bonez" Larsen, 78, of Rochelle, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 at his home. He was born Jan. 27, 1930 in Mole Lake, WI, the son of Lars and Laurentze (Christensen) Larsen. In 1947, he graduated Steward High School. He married Rose M. Miller on July 23, 1950 in Steward, IL. Larry had been a painter for Northern IL University in DeKalb and a member of the Steward Methodist Church.

He was preceded by three sons: Curtis on Dec. 23, 1983, Michael on May 6, 2005 and Craig on July 9, 2007, a daughter: Lisa Annette in 1960 a brother Henry and a sister Gladys Person.

Survivors include his wife Rose of Rochelle, daughter: Sherri Salsbury of Oregon, daughter-in-law: Nancy Larsen of Rochelle, 10 grandchildren: Rachel Weber, Lars Larsen, Linda Sanders, Eric Moen, Loren Larsen, Megan Becker, Carmen Larsen, Shana Engelkes, Dan and Brent Salsbury; and 17 great grandchildren: Ashlyn, Alexis, Gage, Crue, Alexandra, Drew, Celina,
Michael, Sadie, Maggie, Adam, Abby, Mya, Hailey, Avery, and Keaton:
2 sisters Loyce (Arvene) Herrmann and Signe (Bill) Eber both of Rochelle. A special Friend: Annie Garland and his two dogs; Precious and Simba.

Services will be held at Steward Methodist Church on Saturday, May 10th at 10:30 AM with Rev. Judy Sherk. Visitation is at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Friday, May 9th, from 4 to 7 PM. Burial is at Steward Cemetery. Memorials to Steward Methodist Church.
