Leon Andrew Bozek, age 69, was born on June 13, 1956, in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Casimir and Leona Bozek. He peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, dedication, and family.

Leon married his high school sweetheart, Deborah Ginther, on October 2nd, 1974. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2011. He is also preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Krystalynn Bozek.

Leon proudly served in the United States Marines and then the United States Army for a total of 22½ years, dedicating much of his life to the service of his country. His commitment and discipline reflected his deep sense of duty and honor.

He is survived by his son, Robert Bozek, of Rochelle, and his daughter, Melody Bozek of Peoria, IL; grandchildren: Cody, Dakota, Chyanne, Anastasia, Skiler, David, Lucian, Isabella, Temperance, Sebastian, Darlynn, and Brian; great grandchildren: Elliot, Reighlynne, Alex, and a baby boy on the way.

Leon will be remembered fondly by his family and those who knew him.
