Linda D. Beck, 63, of Oregon (formerly of Waterman), passed away peacefully Friday, July 28, 2017 at Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. She was born on July 8, 1954 to Norvell and Mary (Bowman) Wilson. Linda was united in marriage to Earl "Butch" Beck on April 20, 1974; they were married 43 years.

Linda was born in Waterman and graduated from Waterman High School. She earned her nursing degree from Kishwaukee College in Malta. She had a passion for working with the elderly, and she dedicated her nursing career to providing compassionate care to those in their elder years. She loved to read and collected anything and everything dragon related.

Linda is survived by her loving husband Butch; daughter Aimee (Kevin) Hemmer of Thornton, CO; grandson Tyler Bergren of Thonton, CO; three brothers, Doug Wilson of Batavia, Bill (Rita) Wilson of Millington and Larry Wilson of Waterman; sister Patty (Jeff) Smith of Waterman; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She shared a special relationship with nieces Katrina Davis of DeKalb, Debbie Kelm of Kevil, KY and Courtnee Forde of Waterman and loved the time they shared together. Linda will also be missed by her furry kids Tank, Taz and Bella at home.

The family would like to thank the following for their care and compassion during Linda's illness: Dr. Dhaval Thakkar, the staff of Saint Anthony's, Lehan Drugs, Kishwaukee Hospital Cancer Center and all others who helped care for Linda.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brothers Ray, Robert and Chuck Wilson; sisters Shirley and Vickie Wilson and Carol (Wilson) Beatty; great niece Tanya Hovious; and great nephew Jeremy "JD" Davis.

Per Linda's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no visitation/services will be held.
