Linda Gayle Countryman passed away in her sleep on Monday, July 10, 2017 at the Polo Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Linda was born February 3, 1946 to Kenneth and Gladys Georgeson at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. She graduated from North Boone High School in 1964. Following graduation, she attended Rockford Memorial Nursing School and received her LPN Degree in 1966. She worked at many health care facilities in the area. Linda married Larry Countryman on October 21, 2967. They had two children, a daughter, Melody and a son, Eric. She treasured her family and her cats.

Linda is predeceased by her son, Eric Countryman on December 1, 2016; her father, Kenneth Georgeson; her father and mother-in-law, Ward and Grace Countryman and her ex-husband, Larry Countryman.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Melody Countryman of Ashton; mother, Gladys Georgeson of Guttenberg, IA; sister, Connie (Gary) Backes of Guttenberg, IA, nieces: Sonja (Chris) Carmon, Hannah Carmon, Jeanie (Paul) Lovell.

The visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 13, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ashton. The memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Christine Stienstra officiating. There will be a luncheon directly after the service.
