Linda K. Kessen, 72, of Rochelle, IL; passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, after suffering with Alzheimers Disease. She was born on Oct. 10, 1940 in DeKalb, IL to Anthony and Ruth (Cook) Barauski. After graduating from DeKalb High School, she married Robert Kessen on July 18, 1959 and moved to Rochelle shortly thereafter. While raising four children, Linda worked for DelMonte and retired after 30 years. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Rochelle.

Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years and caregiver: Bob of Rochelle, IL; sons:
Dale (Debbie) Kessen of Sheridan, IL, Don (Nancy) Kessen of Rochelle, IL, David (Maria)
Kessen of Steward, IL and daughter: Kristine (Marty) McNabb of Grand Haven, MI; grandchildren: Justin, Meri, Karissa, Robbie, Ashlyn and Matthew.

We want to thank our family and friends for their support and prayers. We also want to thank the
staff at Rochelle Hospital, Franklin Grove Living Center and Unity Hospice for their gentle care of Linda during her brief stay.

Services will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle, Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Visitation at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle on Friday, Oct. 19th from
4 to 7 PM. The family asks that donations be made to the Azheimers Association.
Burial at St. Patrick Cemetery.
