Linda Karen LeMar, loving mother, Granny and sister, 79, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 at her home in Rochelle, Illinois.  Linda was born on July 2, 1945 to Clyde and Pauline (Jared) LeMar in Rochelle.

Linda graduated from Oregon High School and enjoyed playing fast pitch softball throughout her four years there. In her younger years, she spent time helping her father farm.  She enjoyed planting flowers in her flower garden, which was always beautiful.  A favorite activity was attending Cubs and Bears games with her children. But the absolute light of her life was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Autumn, Bentley and Chesney and the time she spent with them baking, cooking, gardening and bird watching.

Linda is survived by her son, David (Lorri) Mayer of Lindenwood, IL; three granddaughters: Amber (Matthew) Wittenauer, Ally (Jeremy) Bagg and Paige Meyer; four great grandchildren: Autumn, Bentley and Chesney Wittenauer and Hayden Bagg; sister, Marcia Jane (Sherry Bennett) LeMar of Rockford, IL and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her son, Daniel Mayer in 1974; daughter, Nicole Mayer in 2016; grandson, Kyle Mayer in 1994; two brothers: Roger and Marvin LeMar and her sister, Phyllis Boyle.

There will be a visitation from 1:00 - 4:00 P.M., Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle.  The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 17 at the funeral home with Pastor Matthew Rosebrock officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle.  Memorials may be made in Linda's memory to St. Paul Lutheran Church.  Visit www.ungerhorner.com to sign the online guest book.
