Lois L. Bramel, (87), passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois. Lois was born June 4, 1926 in Lindenwood, Illinois to William and Edith (Ardnt) Schabacker. She married James W. Bramel on December 17, 1950 in Lindenwood, Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2005.

Lois is survived by two sons: Dan (Danielle) Bramel and Bill Bramel both of Rochelle; two daughters: Mary (Jeff) Truckenbrod of Rochelle and Betty Baugh of Esmond; 12 grandchildren: David (Elicery) Baugh, Dawn (Scott) Polcyn, Richard (Jennifer) Baugh, Jennifer Dickey, Steve (Nicole) Truckenbrod and Janet (Matt) Sarver, Brenda Bramel, Robert Bramel, Tom (Amanda) Bramel, Mark Bramel, James Bramel and Benjamin Bramel and 11 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6 ^th St., Rochelle with Pastor David Yarrington officiating. The visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice and Home or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
