Lois Wetzel Henert Kurth 89 of Ashton, IL died Friday September 26, 2008 at K.S.B. Hospital in Dixon, IL. She was born Dec. 15, 1918 in Rochelle the daughter of George and Bessie Haire Wetzel. She married Donald H. Henert on Feb. 19, 1938 in Rochelle, IL. He preceded her on Aug. 9, 1977. She then married Charles L. Kurth on Oct. 14, 1994 in De Kalb, IL

Preceded by 1 son Kim Henert in 1974, a son-in-law Darrell Neubauer in 1996 and a brother Harold Wetzel.

She was a 1937 graduate of Rochelle Township High School and a member of the Ashton United Methodist Church. Lois enjoyed entertaining her friends and family by playing the piano.

Surviving include her husband Charles of Franklin Grove, IL and 2 sons Neil (Connie) Henert of Ashton, IL, Larry (Janet) Henert of Davis Junction, IL and a daughter Jo Ellen Neubauer of Sterling, IL. 1 brother Darrell "Pete"(Barbara) Wetzel of Joliet, IL
8 Grandchildren Lisa Steffen, Todd Henert, Jeff Neubauer, Doug Neubauer, Steve Neubauer, Tim Henert, Shaine Henert and Chet Henert. And 18 great-grandchildren

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday Sept. 29th at Ashton United Methodist Church with Rev. Monica William presiding. Visitation will be 1 hour before services at the church from 10 to service time.

Burial will be in Ashton cemetery.
