Lois E. Maxey, age 93, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Pineacres Care Center in DeKalb. Lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was born on December 9, 1924 in Rochelle, IL, the daughter of Levi and Reva (Oberla) Rasmussen. She Married H. Dale Maxey on September 7, 1946 in Rochelle, he preceded her on September 5, 1998. She is also preceded by her parents, 2 brothers: Clarence and Wilbur, and son-in-law: Terry Frazer. Lois loved working in her yard and caring for the house her husband built. She wrote verses for friends and family and enjoyed writing.

Survivors include two sons: William Maxey of Paris, TN, and Timothy R. (Lourdes) Maxey of Compton; and two daughters: Kathleen Frazer of Cherry Valley, and Maureen Ann (Ron) Wallace of Rochelle; eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and six great great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1415 10 ^th Avenue, Rochelle with Pastor Greg Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will also be on Thursday from 12 noon to 12:50 p.m. prior to the funeral. Guest book at www.UngerHorner.com
