Noma "Lois" Wilkerson, 89 of Rockford, IL, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009
at her granddaughter's home in Lindenwood, IL with her family by her side.. She was born on August 21, 1919 in Dahlgren Township, IL the daughter of Ray T. and Bessie (Hughes) Barbee. Lois married William Wilkerson on July 29. 1939 in St. Louis, MO and they farmed in the Steward area.
She also had been employed by DelMonte Corp in Rochelle.

Survivors include: Grandchildren: Lisa (Paul) Charboneau, of Lindenwood, Jennifer (Brent) Graves of Rockford, and Jason (Amy) Akey of Rockford. 9 great grandchildren; Logan, Nolan and Karly Charboneau; Tanner, Trenton and Taitem Graves; Zachary, Lauryn and Maddox Akey, due in June. Lois was preceded in death by her husband: William on March 5, 1987; daughter: Shirley Akey Good on June 2, 2006; son: Richard Wilkerson, who was killed in action during the Vietnam War on April 3, 1970; brothers: Frank and Robert Barbee and sister: Jennie DeChamp.

Services will be at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Monday, April 6, 2009 at 1:30 PM Visitation will be Sunday, April 5th from 2 to 4 PM. Burial at Trinity Memory Gardens.
