Obituary
Loraine E. Gross, 86 of Rochelle, passed away on Wed. Feb. 4, 2009 at Rochelle
Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She was born on Jan. 1, 1923 in Rochelle, to
Howard Angus and Helen Louise (Gombeau) Bain. Loraine married John Harris
Gross on June 15, 1946 in Mendota, IL and he preceded her in 1990. She was
also preceded by a son: Fredrick Phillip Binz and a brother: Eugene Howard Bain in 1968.
Survivors include 2 sons: John "Jack" (Marsha) Gross of Thompson, IL and James (Karna) Gross of Rochelle; 4 grandchilden: Koleen Kessen of Rochelle, Kim Geoffrey of San Jose,
CA, Michael Gross of Rochelle and David Gross of Creston, IL; 9 great grandchildren: Michael and David Lopez, Emily Kessen, Dani and Kalon Gross, and Nick, Zack and Kelsey Geoffroy.
Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle, on 10:30 AM Monday,
Feb. 9, 2009. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM
on Monday at Unger-Horner. Burial will be at Flagg Center Cemetery. Memorials to
Rochelle Community Hospital.
