Lorna Merle Wilson Tilton Leifheit, age 100, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at her home with her family at her side. She was born on November 29, 1914 in Pangman Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Andrew Bertram and Maude Reed Wilson. Lorna was adopted by Leland and Edith Jenkins Tilton. She married Fredrick R. Leifheit on March 9, 1933 in her family home where she lived most of her life. Fredrick preceded her in death on September 15, 1993. Lorna graduated from the Rochelle Township High School, class of 1933. Member of the First Baptist Church of Rochelle. She is also preceded by her parents, 3 brothers: Hugh Wilson, Millard Wilson, and Stuart Tilton; daughter, Carol Johnson, and son, Lee Leifheit.

Survived by her daughter, Judy Patterson of Ft. Myers, FL, son, David (Renee) Leifheit of Chana, IL, 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 6 great great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, 810 Woolf Ct., Rochelle with Pastor Doug Cowan officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10 - 11:20 a.m. prior to the funeral at the church. Memorials may be made to the Serenity Hospice and Home or First Baptist Church.
